Bio-

Throughout my life, I have always been searching for “just the right” picture. I didn’t know it originally but I was often obsessed with drawing something from the perfect angle and representing the breath of space in drawing as I experienced it with my eye. I didn’t start out as someone who was interested in photography. Cameras didn’t start to interest me until well into college, but once I started the to use digital cameras and work with images in Lightroom Classic in Photo One I knew I had found something I wanted to do for a long term career. I knew I had found something that would be an entirely new channel for my creativity, a broad horizon. Since then I have upgraded cameras twice and have become skilled in Photoshop and Adobe Premier. I have been making YouTube videos about spirituality; using various effects and camera angles for over a decade, which pre prepared my photographic eye.

Artist Statement

My work has always shown what I focus on. My experience of space between people and objects is somewhat elongated, as if there are chasms hollowed out between things ready to be shown in all their significance. Whether it be capturing the tension between a weightlifter and the bar filled with weights that he is struggling with, or a leaf stretching out and away from a branch at “just the right” angle, I seek to capture the play between objects as they are isolated against the canvas of space.

CV-

I have participated in many hall shows at The University of North Texas, showcasing my photographic talent.

I showcased my artistic talent in the Bedford Gallery where my drawings and posters were shown and sold.

In my early years as a young artist at Marcus High School I travelled to Germany, France, Greece, and Italy and visited many galleries there.

Working with various types of models interests me, and they allow me to continue to expand my technique and portfolio.
